OF THE POLISH PLASTICS PACT

For the past two years, KGL has participated in the Polish Plastics Pact, making it even more actively involved in changing the current model of plastic use in Poland towards a circular economy. By becoming a member of the Pact, KGL has taken joint action with the companies, organisations and the world of science associated with the platform, aiming to achieve the set goals by 2025. The tasks are based on a model of the three most important courses of action advocated by experts: reducing the use of primary raw materials in favour of recycled ones - innovation - building a circular economy. |
6 KEY COMMITMENTS
Identification and elimination of excessive and problematic plastic packaging through redesign, innovation and alternative delivery models. |
A 30% reduction in the use of virgin plastics in packaging throughout the distribution chain. |
100% of plastic packaging on the Polish market is to be reusable or recyclable. |
Effectively support the packaging collection and recycling system to achieve a recycling rate of at least 55% in the Polish market. |
Increase the share of recycled materials in plastic packaging to 25%. |
Improve the quality and effectiveness of consumer education on segregation, recycling, reuse and reduction of packaging consumption. |
